HALLOWEEN, WHAT FUN!
HALLOWEEN, WHAT FUN!

Friday night was a rainy trick or treat night and our campers opted not to come. Saturday about noon after the rain stopped and the fog lifted, our first customers arrived. As they were setting up the next customers came. I hope that Ken did not make it too hard for the next campground that they visit, with his valet parking. They threw a kettle of chili on the fire that was already burning for them, and then finished setting up their campers. This is really the way to go. They both got into the spirit of things with their witches, door bell, spider web, lights, table cloth, and talking bowls with hands. Ate lunch and had a lot to talk about. It’s now time to get ready for the party. We had 18, and they were all supposed to bring a decorated pumpkin. What great pumpkins, we sure do have some talented people in the club with some great imaginations. We had to vote for the most original, what a hard job, they all deserved 1st prize. At the party we had the devil herself, ugly ugly annie with a D, the nose knows, a penny in her teddy, the bag lady, the law and order lady, the guy who can’t make a decision and the couple from the 50’s, and of course the pumpkin man who was the hit of the evening. We ate, and some drank punch, and some did not. (You had to be there to understand.) We then played some games that could not help but make you laugh. I want to thank everyone for being such good sports. Called it an evening, everyone saying good bye, but the campers, they said good night. Went to bed in the fog and got up to a beautiful, sunshiny day. John cooked a wonderful breakfast for all of us. He made sausages on the open fire, made delicious bacon, potatoes, eggs, how ever you wanted them, or how ever they came out, Deniese had some fruit salad she made. The day was getting more beautiful as it flew by. Let’s go hunt a Geocache. There was one up at Middlecreek. It was a great day for a walk in the woods if you stayed on the path like the instruction said, but if you followed the people who were suppose to know what they were doing you got in mud up to your ankles. Found the cache and back to the bikes. Took a ride and came back to the campsite. Ate leftovers and a great 7 layer salad Deniese made. Packed up campers for the season. We then found more to talk about (as my daughter-in-law says “bonding time”). Then before night sets in they go home to get ready for reality to set in, back to work. WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND and didn’t go far.
