Time for me to bore you with useless information again.  We haven’t really done much so not much to report in this newsletter.

Several of us rode the Pigman Triathlon again.  There are two races spring and fall and believe it or not we were invited back for a second tour.  Must have done something right the first time.  This time however, a couple of officials had to ride on the back of a couple of  bikes.  Being the kind person that I am I gave up my seat so Don could take one of the very important judges with him.  I didn’t get to stare at the spandex this time, but while I was waiting for Linda Olson to pick me up I did have a great view of the cyclists going by.  My they are fine pieces of art.  Remember, I may be old but not dead or blind.  Next year we women decided that we wanted another job at the race.  It seems that they were in need of body markers.  Yes that is what I said, body markers.  That is a scary thought, turning me lose with a magic marker and many very fine specimens of the human race.  WOWSA.  They are going to let me draw on their bodies.  Like I said before, WOWSA!!!!!!!  Now doesn’t that sound like fun?  I am sure that I will have to have supervision to keep from marking parts that I am not suppose to mark.  Body painting, man I could really get into that.  Last time I used body paint was on my honeymoon and that is all I am going to say.  See why I will have to have supervision?  I could go on but I have probably gone on long enough.  I am sure that you all get the picture.

Well the riding season is soon coming to an end for some of us.  Don still thinks that there is lots of riding left.  AAAAAAAAAHHHHH…… I don’t think so.  We had our dinner ride on Tuesday and had to make some very fast changes.  I called Jakes and they informed me that they aren’t open on Tuesday’s.  GREAT!  That was a fine cup of tea.  (I don’t drink coffee anymore J)  I told them that considering it was a cook your own steak place they could just turn the grill on and we would cook our steaks, they didn’t need to be there.  Not to worry because we would clean up and lock up when we were done.  You know some people just have no sense of humor.  The girl I talked too just didn’t think that was funny.  Man I thought I had a great sense of humor, maybe not??  I called our fearless leader Gary and he told me to call Joensy’s so I did and made the reservation.  Then our bigger fearless leader thought maybe we should go to Independence instead so some of the couples up in that direction might be able to come.  So I got the okay from the middle leader and had to call and cancel the reservation at Joesny’s and make one at Bill’s.  Hey big guys give me a break here.  You are very lucky I got it right.  I do have a reputation of calling the wrong restaurant you know.  We had 16 people and four of those rode bikes, my husband being one of them, and one convertible.  I too was on two wheels; two wheels on my side of the van and Denise Benson had two wheels on her side of the van.  What, you think I have lost my mind and was going to ride.  That would be a big NO, a really big  NO.  We had a quick meeting, which is what they always are.  If you weren’t paying attention you would have missed it.  I might have missed a little.  You know I do have a very short attention span  … comes with being short. J  I am really full of it this month.  I do remember a short discussion about the rally in 2007.  We asked for suggestions on maybe where to have it and what everyone would like to do.  We have time to decide so if anyone has something they would like to see at the rally or where just let Don know.

Gary Williams informed us that he will be stepping down the first of the year.  We will need some nominations for who you would like to have as our new fearless leader.  Please email me with who you think would be a good candidate.  We would like to have that by the middle of next month.  I will put together a ballot and send it out so everyone can vote on it.  Remember your input is very important to the chapter.   Well that’s all folks.  Anyway for now.
