CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Saturday July 30th, Chapter “B” members took part in the Second Annual Christmas in July ride that was started by the McCormick Chiropractic Practice of Pottstown, PA.
Last year there were only about 20 bikes in all, due to a lack of communication and short notice. But this year there were 50 or more bikes and next year there will hopefully be more. Also last year the donated gifts were taken in an SUV, but this year Chapter “B” members took them in our bike trailers. Most of the gifts (toys & games & stuffed animals) were donated by patients of the Chiropractic Center throughout the year. Also, the riders each brought at least one.
The ride was escorted by police, about 8 on motorcycles and there were two 4 wheelers. They blocked off all intersections and did a superb job of getting us to the Lehigh Valley Medical Center in Allentown Safely.
I’m sure those toys will bring a smile to the faces of the sick children and then our humble effort will be rewarded.
Those who participated and helped make this a success, should feel rightfully proud.
