CLAM BAKE AT THE GEIBS
Reprinted from PA Chapter “A” Newsletter
July 24th - AGWA – “Always Go With Auto,” to quote our leader. That’s what everyone did on Saturday night, except for the ever faithful riders the Pughs!
Under beautiful sunny skies, 15 members, including our State Rep, George Ramsey and Ruth, met at the Geibs for a clam bake. As always, Gerry did a fantastic job giving Ken directions, because everything was excellent! We did a lot of socializing and chitchatting. Even though Don was a little dizzy, the Kreisers gave us all a lesson in bocci ball. Dizziness seems to be running rampant in our club – and I don’t mean blond dizziness! Second place in bocci ball went to Blain and Dawn – even though they said it was their first time – yeah right!!! Sometimes we wondered about the actual scores in the game. Our scorekeeper school teacher subtracted instead of adding. She must have taken a bribe. Truck driver Kettering was there as our official referee. Glo gave us all a laugh, as usual, with her humor and her blue pants with yellow stripes?? Ken gave us a lesson in house rules” on the washer game.
We picked up our new club shirts. They are really nice. Good job, Deniese!
Those of you who didn’t make it to the clam bake missed an evening of good food, friends and fellowship.
Thanks again to Ken and Gerry.
